120 Film Processing

Yeah! I’m just off to mail my 120 film to The Whole Film Photo Film Processing. I was really pleased with my last order and this time I’m ordering prints with both my black and white and colour films.

Get your 120 Film Processing xxx

I will have the prints online as soon as I receive them from the lab.

Alien Skin Exposure 3

Having lots of fun with Alien Skin Exposure 3 at the moment. In the grand scale of film vs digital it does an excellent job of turning digital files into lovely looking film style pictures.

A Day in the Park

Photo play/walk in Stamford Park with Ste, Joanne, Ben and Finlay. It was so much fun and the family are wonderful. No rain in Manchester, a miracle.

Torver

A few pictures from a recent visit to Torver near Coniston in the Lake District. For most of the week the weather was nothing other than mist and light rain but on the odd occasion the sunlight made it through.

Fuji GSW670iii

Four films back from the lab! The pictures below are from the Fuji Film GSW670iii camera and I’m pleased with the results. The colour is wonderful,  it’s definitely got a rich, smooth and velvety look to it. I haven’t altered the images apart from increasing the exposure slightly in Aperture 3 but I didin’t have any control over the scan made in the lab. Sharp as tact too.

Boy in the Lowry

Portriat of Oliver in the Lowry, Salford Quays. I used natural light where possible but this and many other shots were victim of the interior lights and colour reflections from the walls.

Film or Digital

While I await the next four rolls of film from my Fuji GSW690iii & GSW690iii, I’m attempting to replicate the filmic look with digital cameras. The photograph below was shot on a Nikon D90 and manipulated in Aperture 3 to look like a realistic Fujifilm 160NC. I’m fairly pleased with the result given it required only several minutes to achieve.
